Reed Finance is partnered with a hugely successful and growing commercial group in County Down, in the appointment of a qualified & experienced Accountant.

This is a key role in the development, provision and management of financial information, and the successful applicant will work closely with the Finance Manager and other members of the finance team, collaboratively meeting deadlines whilst improving reporting procedures.    

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monthly management accounts preparation including full reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts
• Monitoring and reporting on job performance
• Business Partnering with Department managers
• Departmental reviews to include Risk and Opportunity Reporting and Budget reviews
• Budget administration & reporting
• System development to incorporate process refinement and review
• Responsible for daily bank administration including bank reconciliations, weekly and monthly payment processing, and cash flow forecasting
• Financial Accounting activity including journal entries, Profit and Loss Account reconciliations, financial analysis, and Audit preparation
• Responsible for Sales invoice processing, cash collection and liaising with Clients
• Assisting with grant submissions and responsible for grant claims
• Develop and recommend / implement process improvements
• Development of company templates using advanced MS Excel formulae, Power BI and Jet
• Reporting

Criteria:

• Applicants should be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) but part qualified may also be considered with extensive experience.
• You will offer a minimum of two years relevant recent experience (with construction sector exposure being highly desirable).
• Strong IT / System skills are essential with a particular focus on Advanced Excel functionality/Power BI.
