People & Culture Partner

REED HR NI are delighted to be working with our client based in South Down for a People & Culture Partner to join their dynamic team.

This role is crucial for shaping and developing a high-performing and engaged workforce that aligns with our clients’ strategic goals.

The successful candidate will have a strong HR Generalist remit with specific responsibility for adding value across all HR functions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Connect with a wide range of people across the business, making a positive impact while embedding our values and vision through continuous staff engagement
  • Support the development of Line Managers as effective leaders through coaching and consistent feedback on their people management practices
  • Build strong and positive working relationships with Managers and establish effective communication methods between employees and management
  • Participate in the development of an employee health and wellbeing strategy
  • Responsible for preparing and processing monthly sage payroll for approximately 80 people, including associated pension and related returns
  • Drive diversity in the workplace by recruiting, engaging, and retaining top talent
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies and onboarding processes
  • Coordinate the development of contracts of employment for new starts and promotions
  • Lead performance management processes, ensuring efficient and effective employee performance reviews
  • Develop job evaluation processes and ensure systematic approaches in determining job roles in line with company pay scales

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A third-level qualification in HR or related discipline; CIPD qualification essential
  • Proven track record within HR, ideally coming from an HR Officer/HR Business Partner background
  • Experienced in processing payroll via Sage and associated pensions and returns
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Independent worker with a broad range of HR knowledge
  • IT and system savvy, with experience operating HRMS and other software applications
  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of employment law
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and processes to drive a high-performance culture
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information
