Purchasing Administrator

The RoleReporting to the Head of Procurement you will be an essential part of the team, supporting our business needs and progressing your career.Location: Banbridge, Co DownHours: 38 hrs per week. 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon to Thurs & 8.00am to 3.00pm FridaySalary: Competitive depending on experienceResponsible to: Head of Procurement 

Key Responsibilities

  •  To provide full administration support to a busy purchasing department 
  • Process and record a large number of documents daily, including uploading purchase orders to project folders. 
  • To be responsible for all paperwork relating to incoming / outgoing deliveries including all necessary customs declarations 
  • To provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data / trends 
  • Completing new supplier vendor forms 
  • Maintain procurement systems and ensure compliance with the agreed procedures. 
  • Working as part of a team and on own initiative to ensure that all information is correct and accurate on all systems. 
  • Attending meetings, noting, and recording minutes of key discussions and decisions made. 
  • To maintain high standards of work within the department. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  •  Good Microsoft Office skills – to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company. 
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language 
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar administration role 
  • Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • • Good communication & literacy skills.
