Reporting to the Group Finance Director, as Group Financial Accountant you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This role is integral to managing group consolidation, statutory compliance, tax obligations, and includes some company secretarial duties. The successful candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, experience with audits and taxation, and an ability to operate effectively within a fast-moving, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of group financial statements and ensure compliance with UK GAAP/FRS 102.
  • Manage the external audit process and liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth year-end process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting, including VAT, corporation tax, and other regulatory filings.
  • Provide financial insights and technical accounting support to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage company secretarial responsibilities, including Companies House filings and statutory obligations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management at a group level.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Support ad hoc projects, including M&A activities, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

Who are we looking for?

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with relevant post-qualification experience.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in group consolidations and UK GAAP/FRS 102.

• Previous experience in audit and tax compliance is essential.

• Exposure to company secretarial duties and regulatory filings.

• Experience in monthly and quarterly management and filing of global VAT returns and compliance across the UK, US, and EU, including B2C and B2B sales. Management of Intrastat and import and export filings.

• Proficient in financial reporting systems and Excel.

• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.

• Passion for engineering, motorsport, or high-performance industries is a plus.
