The successful candidate will be involved in conducting audits of client accounts with precision and efficiency, preparing accurate financial statements and reports, assisting in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation and providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity on offer with a UK Top 100 firm of accountants and we’d be delighted to receive applications from professionals who are ATT/CTA qualified or studying towards and who have at least 3 years of personal tax focused UK practice experience.

Job Purpose
  • Provide trusted personal tax compliance and advisory services to a significant and diverse client portfolio.
  • Work towards taking the lead on your own portfolio.
  • Working directly with Partners to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met.
  • Analyse and interpret data and prepare tax advice based on findings.
  • Preparation of tax reports.
  • Undertake a range of specialist advisory work, including ATED, SDLT, VAT, Trusts tax, Inheritance tax, Capital Gains Tax, and SAS.
  • Support the Managers and Partners with business development work.
  • Lead liaison with HMRC on behalf of clients, proactively handling enquiries.
  • Oversee junior staff, including monitoring workflow, reviewing work, and identifying training opportunities.
  • Proactively investigate and identify opportunities for the firm and clients.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of tax experience with a reputable UK-based accounting firm.
  • ATT/CTA studying, or qualified.
  • Thorough knowledge of personal tax compliance.
  • Experience reviewing the work of juniors and supporting in their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
