Butler Rose is working with a manufacturing business in the Banbury area in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team. This will be a six-month fixed-term contract, paying up to £40,000.
Key Responsibilities: - Preparing management accounts and ensuring financial accuracy up to trial balance. - Overseeing the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. - Managing bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments. - Supporting month-end close processes and liaising with the group finance team. - Handling general ledger reconciliations and assisting with financial reporting. - Working closely with senior management to provide financial insights.
Requirements: - QBE or AAT Qualified with experience in a similar role. - Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience is highly desirable. - Strong understanding of trial balance and management accounts preparation. - Hands-on experience in AP, AR, and general finance functions. - Previous exposure to a group finance structure is advantageous. - Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills.
