Van Driver / Forklift Operator

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Job Type: Temporary
Salary: 12.44 per hour

Job Overview:

A well-established, Banbury based business have an immediate need for a Van Driver with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join their experienced, friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while also operating a counterbalance forklift to load, unload and organise stock.

Key Responsibilities:

• Van Driving:
  • Drive company vans to deliver goods and materials to various locations.
  • Ensure deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner
  • Interact with customers in a professional and polite manner, when delivering items.
• Counterbalance Forklift Operation:
  • Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload goods
  • Ensure that all goods are handled and stored properly to prevent damage.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines when operating machinery to avoid accidents or injuries.
• General Duties:
  • Assist with manual handling of goods when necessary.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, including delivery notes, invoices, and returns.

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
• Previous Van Driving Experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift and move items manually
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with stock control and basic warehouse operations is a plus.
