Group Sales Director

Salary: £100k to £120k, plus up to 12% management bonus and up to £15k leadership bonus

Location and Travel: Head Office in Oxfordshire with travel to Buckinghamshire, Birmingham, and North West Midlands. Meeting customers across the UK. Potentially one night away in UK per week and 2-3 days international travel per month.

The Role: As our Group Sales & Marketing Director, you'll be a key player on our Leadership Board, shaping and driving our sales and marketing strategy. Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, your charismatic leadership will inspire a team of 30, including five direct reports, across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking Sales and Marketing Strategy in line with our business objectives.
  • Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor your team, fostering a motivated and high-performing environment.
  • Sales & Marketing Mastery: Oversee all sales, marketing, and product management activities, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborative Synergy: Work closely with fellow directors to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
  • Client Engagement: Drive growth by building strong relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring our services meet their evolving needs.
  • Performance Excellence: Monitor and present business performance, addressing risks and opportunities with proactive measures.
  • Market Expansion: Manage and set objectives for sales agents in export territories, driving international growth.
  • Innovative Marketing: Lead both trade and digital marketing efforts to elevate our brand presence.
  • KPI and Budget Management: Establish KPIs and manage budgets, ensuring accurate monthly reporting and financial oversight.

  • Sales Savvy: Demonstrated success in selling a diverse range of physical products, with keen commercial insight.

  • Exceptional Communicator: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic Visionary: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a hands-on approach.
  • Results-Driven: A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with a solid understanding of ERP systems.
  • Ready to Travel: A valid passport and driving license for travel.
