Technical Requirements:
- MEng/BEng in Mechanical Engineering
- Expert knowledge of mechanical system design
- Advanced 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD essential)
- Deep understanding of conveyor system mechanical architectures
- Experience designing robust material handling mechanical interfaces
- Proven track record in specifying mechanical components for industrial automation
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed mechanical design specifications for automated systems
- Create comprehensive mechanical load calculations and stress analyses
- Design precision material transport mechanisms
- Develop mechanical integration strategies with electrical/control systems
- Produce detailed manufacturing technical documentation
- Manage mechanical aspects of complex automation projects
Technical Expertise Demanded:
- Minimum 5 years mechanical design experience in automation/materials handling
- Strong understanding of mechanical tolerancing and fit principles
- Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA)
- Knowledge of BS/ISO mechanical engineering standards
- Experience with industrial motion control mechanical systems
