We are currently seeking a Hygienist/Maintenance Operativeto join a busy warehouse team. This role is a combination of warehouse hygiene responsibilities and general maintenance tasks, ensuring the workplace remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities/Hygienist Duties:
- Carry out daily cleaning of the warehouse, including vacuuming and mopping aisles.
- Wipe down and sanitise work surfaces, communal areas, and high-contact points.
- Ensure waste disposal is managed efficiently, keeping the warehouse tidy and organised.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies when necessary.
Maintenance Duties:
- Perform general handyman tasks such as fixing locks, replacing light fixtures, and repairing minor damage.
- Hang signs, boards, or any necessary warehouse fixtures as required.
- Conduct routine checks to identify potential maintenance issues and address them promptly.
- Assist in general facility upkeep to maintain a safe and functional working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as warehouse cleaning, hygiene, or maintenance, is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when identifying tasks that need attention.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high hygiene and safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks such as fixing locks, using hand tools, and minor repairs.
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
