Main Purpose of the Job:
As a Mould Maintenance Technician, you will provide multi-skilled technical support to maintain the plant's operational effectiveness. This includes troubleshooting, maintenance, and working collaboratively with your team to achieve safety, quality, and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Breakdown & Quality Support: Respond to breakdowns and quality issues, using your diagnostic skills to quickly and effectively resolve problems.
- Equipment Monitoring: Programme and monitor plant equipment to ensure maximum throughput while maintaining quality standards.
- Planned Maintenance: Carry out maintenance in line with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) processes.
- Collaboration: Work within the shift team to meet daily priorities and contribute to long-term continuous improvement initiatives.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Always adhere to safety, environmental, and quality policies and report any issues or concerns.
- Escalation & Problem Solving: Take appropriate escalation actions when necessary and use technical skills to improve plant performance.
- Customer Relations: Project a professional image to customers and visitors.
Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Participate in risk assessments and comply with lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Support emergency actions and adhere to 5S processes.
Quality & Timing:
- Participate in quality checks and report any recurring quality issues.
- Make timely quality decisions considering risks to production.
- Work within internal systems like MAFACT to ensure efficient operations.
Cost & Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to cost-saving projects and identify areas for improvement in equipment, processes, and performance.
- Help reduce downtime and improve plant availability.
- Use resources efficiently, including consumables.

Skills & Experience:
- Formal apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within injection moulding.
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with robotic systems (Kuka, ABB) and PLC work is highly desirable.
- Computer literacy (Excel, Access, etc.) and good analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across all departments.
- Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
