Experienced CNC Setter/Operator Full time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator with knowledge of manufacturing components to drawing specifications.

Working Hours:Monday-Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, Friday 8am to 1.30pm -Totalling 37.5 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £17.50-£20.00 per hour depending on experience

Key Authorities & Responsibilities:

  • To produce components in minimal possible time and to drawing requirements
  • To achieve maximum usage of machine capabilities leaving a finished component requiring minimal manual finishing
  • Prepare and maintain CNC machine to required specification and procedural guidelines
  • Tool setting & changes with training
  • Operate CNC equipment to procedure and health and safety guidelines
  • Drill & tap to drawing specification
  • To be flexible in a team-oriented environment
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities
  • Visual inspection of parts to ensure quality standards are met

Preferred Experience:

  • CNC machine experience
  • Engineering background
  • Conversant with engineering drawings
  • Milling machine experience

Other Expectations:

  • Must possess a positive can-do attitude, physically fit as some lifting of heavy metals will be required
  • Ability to work without supervision in a multi-functional team & willing to undertake all reasonable requests as determined by the business needs
  • Help maintain a safe working environment for other employees and immediately raise Health & Safety concerns to management in compliance with the Health & Safety procedure
