Contracts Manager

Vector are thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing and highly respected Drainage Contractor. We are seeking a talented and commercially driven Contracts Manager preferably with Highways or Drainage experience to lead a key contract and ensure operational excellence.

Salary

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum + company van/car allowance and other benefits

Job Role
  • Contract Leadership:Oversee the daily operations of contracts, ensuring efficient delivery and top-notch performance.
  • Financial Management:Monitor and control budgets, ensuring profitability and achieving set financial targets.
  • Health & Safety Excellence:Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all work complies with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
  • Performance Optimisation:Manage contract performance, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high work standards.
  • Client Relationships:Build and maintain strong, collaborative client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Cost Monitoring:Track project delivery against costs and handle monthly applications for client approval.

Who Were Looking For
  • Extensive Contracts Management Experience:Proven track record in leading contracts to successful outcomes within Highways, Drainage or similar industry.
  • Commercial Expertise:Ability to manage contract finances effectively, driving profitability and meeting targets.
  • Leadership Skills:Exceptional people management, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage teams to high performance.
  • Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to liaise confidently with clients and staff at all levels.
  • Organisational Prowess:Excellent planning and organisational skills, ensuring smooth and efficient contract operations.
  • IT Proficiency:Competent in using software tools, particularly Excel.
  • Driving Licence:A full UK driving licence is required.
