Are you a proactive and detail-oriented individual with an interest in the construction industry? We are looking for a dedicated Commercial Assistant to join our team and support our commercial operations. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment based in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The company:

Our client is a Groundworks and Civil Engineering company working across Oxfordshire & Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Support the procurement process by managing supplier and subcontractor relationships.
  • Help in the preparation of tender submissions and contracts.
  • Track project progress and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Manage and update project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide administrative support to the commercial team as needed.
  • Work closely with project managers and site teams to resolve any commercial issues that may arise.
  • Assist with invoice processing and cost reporting.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a commercial or administrative role within the construction industry (preferred).
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), experience with project management software a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
