- Commissioning of new machinery, validation visits, service reports and telephone technical support.
- Product Training to users, (QC, Maintenance and Operators).
- Successfully applying software enhancements to improve the performance of the equipment.
- Fault diagnosis and repair as required.
- Ensuring reoccurring issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Providing detailed feedback to the Technical/Production departments.
- Support production with Customer returns where necessary.
- Assistance with Production activities including Electronics: Tuning Final QC, Controls: Cabinet and Machine Wiring.
- Product Testing.
- Co-ordination and delivery of ‘after sales’ upgrades and/or refits.
- Must have experience in Electrical and Mechanical engineering.
- Must have previous experience as a Field Service Engineer.
- Familiarity with the food manufacturing Industry would be preferred although not essential.
- Must be a competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook email or a similar system.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to resolve customer issues.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- A flexible approach to hours worked, including some weekends.
- Willingness to travel UK and some overseas.
- Clean full UK Driving License.
- Basic salary £35,000 (overtime available, OTE around £10k+ per annum).
- Overtime 1.5x Mon-Fri and 2x Sunday/Bank holidays.
- Please note the Head Office is based in Banbury, but the role will cover across the UK and occasionally in Europe if the candidate is open to this.
- Working hours Monday to Friday 8.45 am – 4.45 pm, although flexibility is required due to working at customer locations, there isn’t an on-call requirement as such, and they are very mindful of a work life balance for their service engineers.
