- Ensure an excellent accountancy service is provided to all clients.
- Ensure the team are responding to client and third-party (e.g: HMRC) requests and queries in a timely manner.
- Managing the team's workload, taking instruction from senior partners and delegating work to team members as appropriate.
- Become a central point of contact for clients and build successful working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders in the firm.
- Review and finalise audit files, accounts and corporation tax work prepared by team members.
- Complete staff appraisals and ensure competency through training and coaching as required.
- Identify further business opportunities and assist partners with business planning, advisory and further audit work.
- Assist with controlling WIP within the department by progressing work to billing point.Â
- Monitor progress to deadlines and ensure key targets are met; companies house filing dates, group reporting, P11D's, tax returns etc.
- ACA or ACCA qualified in practice (FCA or FCCA also considered).
- Proven experience of working within an audit practice environment.
- Experience of managing or overseeing the work of others.
- Ability to review and complete audit and account files quickly and efficiently.
- Very good general IT skills, including accounting packages, Office 365 etc.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills, attention to detail.Â
- Driving license and transport for ad-hoc travel to clients as required.
