This role is part of the leadership team in global IT playing a pivotal role in leading and executing IT strategies to enhance operational efficiency, drive business growth, and ensure seamless technology integration. You are expected to work closely and actively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities, implement the best solutions and optimize our technology stack to meet the evolving needs of our diverse markets

Key Responsibilities for the IT Manager:

Business Solutions:

  • Liaise across UK & Ireland business units, IT teams, and external IT partners.
  • Embody company values and ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Drive digital transformation to enhance productivity, customer experience, and competitive advantage.
  • Assess technology needs, prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic IT guidance to senior management.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Engage with global teams to assess technology options and develop business cases.
  • Gather IT data for value creation planning and define business cases with various stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives for the UK and Ireland.
  • Communicate IT vision, strategy, and initiatives to business leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and transparent IT cost models.
  • Collaborate on the annual GIS budget plan and provide financial reporting.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning future IT needs.
  • Oversee IT systems, networks, and applications for optimal performance.

Services Management:

  • Ensure SLA performance aligns with business goals and communicate with leadership.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and service standardization.
  • Handle local vendor and contract management.
  • Oversee IT project pipeline and ensure successful implementation.
  • Lead and mentor IT teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Evaluate vendor solutions, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Over 7 years of IT and Business/Industry work
  • Experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business analysis.
  • Over 3 years in advisory role in Information
  • Systems to the business leadership function of which a significant amount has been in a company of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience and understanding in business process management, with an ability to translates business needs into IT enabled solution
  • Solid experience in managing matrix organization business leadership team to meet their expectation
  • Capability to empower and develop people
  • Experience of project definition and scoping, formulation of feasibility studies and benefits cases
  • Must possess strong business acumen to perform as a reliable and valuable business partner.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English.
  • Experience in building & working with remote teams

Job Offer

This role of IT Manager is offering:

  • A base salary of up to £80,000 per annum
  • Bonus of 17%
  • A car allowance, generous pension and other benefits
  • this role does require 4 days on site in Oxford-shire
