Electronics Test & Repair Engineer

Location: Alcester – Commute to Banbury 3 days & Malvern 2 days
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 4:45 PM
Salary: 28,000/£30,000

Are you passionate about electronics? Do you thrive in a hands-on testing and repair environment? We are looking for an Electronics Test & Repair Engineer to join our team and ensure the effective testing and manufacture of our cutting-edge products. My client is a global OEM of packaging machinery that specialise in providing equipment directly to the production, FMCG sectors 

What You’ll Do:

  • New Equipment Testing – Inspect, test, and troubleshoot new electronic assemblies, ensuring they meet defined specifications.
  • Repairs & Fault Finding – Diagnose and repair customer equipment while maintaining accurate repair documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement – Contribute ideas, adapt to changing priorities, and help enhance our processes.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with different departments, occasionally liaising with customers for technical support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications – Ideally, a degree or HND in Electronics.
  • Experience – Background in electronics manufacturing with a strong grasp of analogue and digital circuitry.
  • Skills – Excellent soldering (through-hole & SMD), fault-finding, and the ability to read electronic circuit drawings.
  • Tools – Familiarity with oscilloscopes, DVMs, and diagnostic software.
  • Personal Attributes – Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and great communication.
