Our client, a respected name in the FMCG/Food Manufacturing sector, is looking for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team near Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company that values technical expertise and offers opportunities for growth.
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production machinery. You'll play a key role in maintaining smooth operations through both preventative and reactive maintenance. Your tasks will include:
- Carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and resolving technical faults to minimise downtime.
- Responding swiftly to machinery breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Supporting the production team with technical issues and troubleshooting as required.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring the work environment remains safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards.
What You'll Need
The ideal candidate will have:
- A solid background in a food, FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing environment (other industries will also be considered).
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, HNC, HND, BTEC, or City & Guilds in a related engineering field.
- Strong experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance, with a multi-skilled approach being highly advantageous.
- A proactive and hands-on attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A flexible approach to working, thriving both independently and as part of a team.
