- Use a software called SolidWorks to create 2D drawings and assembly instructions from the 3D models provided by the engineers.
- Make sure the drawings are inline with industry best practices and that meets the draft standards of the UK, EU and USA.
- Have a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles to precisely define component requirements.
- Effectively work alongside site engineers to clarify design intent and ensure the drawings reflect the final product.
- Review and revise drawings based on the feedback received from site engineers and others.
- Be highly organised and file appropriately all drawings and related documentation.
- Keep yourself updated on latest developments in SolidWorks software and drafting practices.
- Potential to be responsible for writing clear and concise work instructions for the assembly teams in the UK and USA.
- ONC, NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- Always adhere to company’s H&S policy.
- Follow company procedures and complete all documentation appropriately and efficiently.
- Ensure good housekeeping at all, maintaining all areas are kept clean and tidy and equipment returned at the end of every day/job.
- To contribute to the company’s continuous development of updating their processes.
- Be able to undertake additional tasks as and when required by management.
- Be competent in using CAD Systems – producing both 2D and 3D outputs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have knowledge of BS, EN ISO Standards.
- Strong problem-solving, organisation, and planning skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills both internally and with customers.

- 40 hours per hour.
- 8:15am – 5pm (additional hours may be required on occasions).
