Project Coordinator

Our Advanced Technology business is where we combine our pace and agility with free-thinking to deliver complex engineering solutions and specialist manufacturing programmes to the automotive, aerospace, marine, and defence sectors, accelerating the net zero journey for our customers.

Prodrive AT's specialities are the design; development and production of smart actuation systems, particularly in the Active Aero and Intelligent Interior domains, as well as vehicle-level programmes. Current activity includes multiple automotive Active Aero and Intelligent Interior projects in the smart actuation domain; an L7e urban delivery vehicle and active torque dynamics for military applications at vehicle-level – as well as a variety of other mobility and low-carbon programmes including hydrogen storage and hydrogen fuel cell systems.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Coordinator who will work with our engineering and production teams to manage projects or a sub project within a large programme. This will involve engaging directly with clients and key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Support the business with project set up, monitoring and closure in accordance the Programme Management processes.
  • Support in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to budget and to scope. This will include, but will not be limited to client management, schedule management, document control, supplier management, procurement, risk management and monitoring of resource conflicts.

Business Support

  • Compile reports to support the programme management, business development & finance teams. This will include but is not limited to cost reports, hours reports, material spend, invoices, year-end budget, R&D tax credit and any ERP booking queries.
  • First point of contact for Microsoft project plan set-up & issue resolution.
  • Report resource forecasts and utilisation at across the project teams.
  • Maintain appropriate project Management documentation and templates.
  • Provide first point of contact for company project procedural guidance regarding project management.
  • Set up projects, booking codes in the financial ERP (IFS cloud)

Essential skills/experience

  • Proven experience in supporting the delivery technical engineering projects.
  • Excellent planning skills with a flexible and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft excel and MS Project.
  • Understanding of an ERP business system (preferably IFS)
