Do you currently work within supply chain and logistics?   Are you seeking a new opportunity within the automotive industry? Our client is an established and highly respected automotive supplier based in Banbury, that plays a key part in the UK automotive industry supply chain. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator, on a full-time permanent basis, working Monday-Friday. The purpose of this role is to support all activities within the supply chain process, offer guidance across all departments and aid in the development of all logistic functions. The ideal candidate would have prior experience working within logistics/supply chain and have great understanding and knowledge to fully support all clients and customers.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the materials scheduling and production planning processes are effective and accurate, and they meet the customer’s outcome.
  • Analyse customer forecasts for the demand variation and recovery, planning capacities and materials, generating works orders in conjunction with production cell planning, whilst ensuring the ERP and MRP systems in place are maintained and kept accurate.
  • Ensure the logistic SOPs are kept up to date and communicated to all relevant departments.
  • Integral to keep stock accuracy maintained and manage the stock movements.
  • Liaise with all production departments to ensure adherence to schedules, make sure there are contingency plans in place and always maintain communication levels.
  • Ensure all documentation and paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers and distributors.
  • Always consider the environmental impact of the supply chain to meet sustainability targets and work to ensure to keep write offs of stock to a minimum.
  • Read and conform to legal documents, such as import/export agreements and liaise with suppliers to confirm scheduled production and shipment dates.
  • Review and refine purchasing parameters to enhance the ordering pattern for all products ranges.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience working in Logistics and Supply Chain.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisation, and planning skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both internally and with customers.
  • Willingness to develop skillset.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people and highly communicable.
  • Build relationships internally and with external parties, such as suppliers and distributors.
Additional Information:
  • Monday – Friday.
  • 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm (37.5 hours).
  • 21 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
  • Company Pension.
  • Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE.
