Job Title: Paint Robot Maintenance Technician

Location: Paint Operations

Main purpose of job of Paint Robot Maintenance Technician

To provide maintenance and technical support to paint operations in order to achieve departmental goals and business plan targets. Carry out maintenance duties and responsibilities on your shift and controlling and ensuring plant and equipment is in good order.

Scope of job:

Reporting to: Paint Technical Manager

Main duties:

Safety, Environmental Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to health and safety aspects within the paint maintenance team.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental & Health & Safety standards in line with current certification.
  • Participate in accident investigation activities, ensure near miss reporting.
  • Participate with the Lock out Tag out Procedure (where applicable).
  • Comply with the Safe System of Work documents.
  • Ensure all contractors are signed in with the correct work permits.
  • Participate in 5S processes and procedures with your area of responsibility.
  • To ensure all team members wear appropriate PPE.
  • Take appropriate actions in emergency situations.

Specific Skills & Experience:

  • Time served apprenticeship mechanical / electrical.
  • Able to read and understand fluid flow schematic drawings.
  • Knowledge of bell applicators and conventional spray guns.
  • Able to work from basic principles of how a system operates and own initiative to determine possible root cause and effective repair method.
  • Knowledge of B+M robotics and dosing systems including voltage block systems.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc robots.
  • IOSH trained.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Candidates must be able to work using their own initiative, and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the company.
  • Preventative maintenance techniques and system controls (CMMS)
