We are seeking an experienced Car/Van Technician to join our small team. As a Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars and has a strong mechanical knowledge.

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Day-to-day duties of a Vehicle Technician / Mechanics
- Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
- Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based technology.
- Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
- Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
- Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition.
- Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
- Completing all documentation to the required standard.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems with vehicles.
- Adjust the alignment of the wheels of a vehicle.
- Diagnose repair problems and perform required maintenance, according to customer needs.
- Be able to work under pressure with time constraints.
- Perform light maintenance on all makes of vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair certain kinds of engine problems.
- Service all types of vehicle components, such as air conditioning systems, suspension systems, anti-lock braking systems, and power steering systems.
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including servicing & repair, tyre fitting and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and transmission issues
- Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble and assemble vehicle components
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs to customers and answering any questions they may have
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Strong attention to detail
