We're looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team providing additional support. If you're someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in keeping things organised. This role is offered on an initial 6 month, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

What you will be doing as the Warehouse Operative

  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, either manually or using a forklift
  • Checking for damaged or missing items and sorting stock for storage or distribution
  • Accurately putting goods away into the appropriate storage spaces
  • Picking and packing customer orders efficiently and within set targets
  • Maintaining accurate stock records using warehouse management systems
  • Assisting with inventory checks and reporting as needed
  • Supporting operational efficiency by following procedures and schedules
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and yard area
  • Completing daily equipment checks and promptly reporting any issues
  • Liaising with suppliers to manage stock of consumables and packaging materials

Experience, skills and attributes required

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable using stock control systems and IT-based records
  • Forklift experience preferred (licence not essential but an advantage)
