Reporting to the Commercial Manager in the UK, for the successful candidate, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in pioneering development projects in UV curing technology helping to maintain their position as a global technology leader.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a technical author, your role will involve evaluating the product or service and identifying the target audience. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in planning and briefing sessions
- Collaborating with developers and managers to grasp the technical details of the product and resolve any technical concerns
- Conducting interviews with experts as well as sales and marketing professionals
- Coordinating with translators, illustrators, designers, printers, and service providers.
- Using Microsoft Excel to a professional level, for document maintenance and merging to assist with the sales process.
A significant portion of your work will focus on research and information gathering. You will need to:
- Utilise the product or service to gain insights into the technology and applications for which documentation is being created
- Assess and analyse the information requirements of the users.
The next step involves effectively presenting the information. To achieve this, you will:
- Structure information based on user needs
- Compose and refine text
- Oversee the commissioning, coordination, or preparation of illustrations
- Employ various software tools to display the information index and organise materials.
Administrative tasks may include:
- Managing multiple projects concurrently
- Developing work schedules
- Promoting services and expertise to prospective clients
- Staying informed about industry developments and trends, as well as participating in training programs.
Key competencies and experience:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, including document maintenance and merging to assist with the sales process.
- Experience using Excel to generate cost projections or quotes based on linked or imported data from other Excel sheets.
- An Excel qualification would be advantageous or beneficial.
Desirable:
- 3yrs-5yrs experience working in a similar position.
- Experience of curing/drying equipment in the printing industry would be considered an advantage.
- A technical background in the printing industry.

- Excellent knowledge of the English language with a good command of grammar and vocabulary
