Job Description:
My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join their growing housing division. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and manage civil engineering projects, including transportation, infrastructure, and utility systems.
Develop full plot design with corresponding 3D model.
Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and solve any issues.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and local authorities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk analysis for potential projects.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout project lifecycles.
Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified to HNC level (or similar) in Civil Engineering.
A background in design is compulsory.
Housing development experience is preferable.
Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
Membership of a professional body to a minimum of Technician level is preferable with a forward plan to achieve Incorporated level.
