Location: Banff
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000
Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm)

Are you an experienced accountant looking to take the next step in your career? Do you thrive in a dynamic, self-starting environment? My clients expanding accountancy practice in Banff is seeking a Senior Accountant specialising in corporate tax to join the team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of your role, be involved in the day-to-day running of the office, and progress with the company as it grows.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, offering expert tax advice, bookkeeping and financial guidance.

* Oversee and lead a small team, including bookkeeping and accounts assistants, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of services.

* Provide in-depth corporate tax planning and compliance support to clients, ensuring adherence to all UK tax regulations.

* Develop strong client relationships and act as the primary contact, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.

* Review and prepare corporate financial statements and management accounts.

* Assist with the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and year-end filings.

* Contribute to office management and help streamline processes as the business expands.

What We're Looking For:

* A minimum of 3 years of experience in accountancy

* A strong focus on corporate tax (Desirable)

* A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.

* Experience using Xero is preferred, though training can be provided.

* Excellent communication and client management skills.

* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and lead a small team.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
