Recruit4staff is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in Gwynedd, offering a competitive salary and a permanent position with flexible hours.
The role involves working on product development projects, supporting operations, and managing production equipment and process improvements.
Candidates must have an in-depth understanding of CNC and press machines, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and a BSc or HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
The position is full-time with 39 hours per week and includes the opportunity for progression and early finishes on Fridays.
Applicants should ideally have experience with ERP systems like Epicor and should be located in commutable areas such as Conwy, Anglesey, or Llandudno.

The role of a Mechanical Engineer - :

Working on a number of projects including helping develop products before launches.
Support the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and operators and troubleshooting equipment and process issues
Engage with cross-functional business teams to meet daily production schedules and lead improvement strategies and initiatives
Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions
Improve areas of the production environment using Lean manufacturing concepts
Coordinate the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipment
Maintain good housekeeping, a healthy and safe work environment and the safe use of equipment and machinery

What our client is looking for in a Mechanical Engineer :

An in-depth understanding of Engineering within CNC Machines, Press Machines and Assembly - ESSENTIAL
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
BSc or HNC in an engineering/technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience - ESSENTIAL
Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Epicor - DESIRABLE
