Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Bangor - Hybrid 3 days in the office 2 or siteRole Overview:We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to independently manage a variety of pre- and post-contract activities. The role involves working on cost and commercial management tasks, ensuring projects meet budgetary and quality objectives while adhering to timelines.About the Client:Our client is a renowned consultancy with a strong reputation for excellence in cost and commercial management across infrastructure, construction, and engineering sectors. They are dedicated to delivering tailored solutions, combining industry expertise with a commitment to innovation and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage measurement and billing using sector-relevant standards (e.g., MMHW, CESMM, NRM).
  • Prepare and review preamble notes, codify measured works, and analyze cost data.
  • Produce estimates, cost reports, and tender documentation, including financial assessments.
  • Oversee contract administration, including budget monitoring, cost auditing, and change management.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of commercial and assurance deliverables.
  • Maintain records, manage documentation, and attend client meetings to present findings.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, including Assistant Quantity Surveyors.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree (minimum 2.1 or equivalent) in a relevant field with demonstrable experience in cost and contract management.
  • Preferably an Associate member of RICS or similar recognized body.
  • Strong IT proficiency (Excel essential).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
