Leading Financial Services business has an opening for a for an Assistant Financial Accountant who has either some previous accounting experience, or a relevent degree and excellent academicsM. This is a great role for someone looking to progress and take professional accounting exams (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) within a Blue-Chip organisation that provides training and will support your studies. The role is responsible for:
- Month and year-end processes
- Balance sheet control account reconciliations
- Assisting with quarterly and annual accounts pack preparation and submission to parent company
- Assisting with preparation of annua accounts
- Preparation of local trial balance reports
- Maintenance of accounting process manual
- VAT and Corporation tax assistance
Key skills required are a knowledge of basic accountancy processes and double entry book-keeping, strong Excel skills, good communication skills (oral and written) and enthusiasm and drive to produce high quality work and for continued learning. You'll have some prior experience of working in an accounts department and you MUST have strong numeracy skills, as these will be tested at interview.
