Outreach Functional Skills Tutor

- Contract: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: £30,722.81 - £37,059.79 per annum
As an outreach and class based Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping our learners develop their Maths & English skills to ensure they can go on to do other work and activities. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons both in the education department and in designated rooms on the Prison House Blocks, tailoring your teaching to meet the needs of each individual learner.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths & English lessons.
- Teach both in the education department and designated rooms on Prison House Blocks.
- Tailor teaching methods to meet individual learner needs.
Requirements:
- Full teaching qualification and experience in teaching English/Maths courses.
- At least Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Proven track record of effective teaching in the subject specialism.
- Clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
