POST– Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in Bar Hill, Cambridge, seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join their dynamic team. This is a key role within the business, perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about providing outstanding customer support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through email and Teams, ensuring professional and efficient communication.
  • Manage customer queries, process orders, and handle purchase order changes, returns, repairs, and rework orders.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve shortages, coordinate delivery schedules, and manage escalations.
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems, including price lists, quotes, and technical documentation.
  • Analyse and update customer orders, ensuring all changes are communicated clearly.
  • Support stock audits, manage credit and debit notes, and assist in sales forecasting.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience in a Customer Service Specialist, Customer Support Representative, or similar role.
  • A proactive problem-solving approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and BOMs (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience using SAP or similar systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
