Job Advert: Customer Account Specialist (Manufacturing) - 3-6 Month Temp Position

We are currently seeking a Customer Account Specialist to join our team for a 3-6 month temporary position, supporting the smooth running of customer accounts and operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Role Overview:
As a Customer Account Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, responding to queries, and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with the Production and Purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery, and assist with the completion of various administrative tasks as the team works to catch up on backlog orders.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a customer support or sales position (manufacturing experience is an advantage).
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and a problem solver.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong competence in Microsoft Excel (essential).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with technical drawings and BOMs is preferred.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Notes:

  • This role will involve supporting existing customers and clearing outstanding tasks from previous months, including validating price lists, creating SOPs, and entering missing records.
  • A key part of the role will be assisting with backlog orders, so the ability to handle pressure and manage time effectively is important.
  • This is a 3-6 month temporary position, with the potential to extend depending on operational needs.
