Are you ready to lead and transform how our client allocates and optimise resources across a high-performing technical services team? We are looking for a Resource Planning Manager to take charge of resource allocation, ensuring projects - from installations to support calls - run seamlessly and efficiently.

You'll be at the heart of operations, driving efficiency and excellence, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring customer expectations are met while staying ahead of industry trends.

 

What You'll Do

Shape Strategy

Develop and implement innovative resource management strategies to maximise efficiency across the department.

Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with Sales, Projects, and Technical Services managers to ensure the right resources are in place for every project.

Problem-Solve & Optimise: Monitor resource utilisation and tackle any bottlenecks head-on, making sure we're always one step ahead.

Drive Performance: Ensure targets like project delivery, response time, and first-time fix rates are consistently achieved.

Empower Your Team: Develop and mentor your team, fostering a culture of proactive service, continuous learning, and excellence.

Ensure Safety & Compliance: Lead by example, ensuring Health & Safety and compliance standards are always top priority.

Seize Opportunities: Identify commercial opportunities and drive revenue growth for the department.

 

What You'll Achieve

First 6 Months:

Complete role-specific training and get to know the ins and outs of the Technical Service & Support operations.

Build strong internal networks within the UK and global business, setting your team up for long-term success.

Start regular check-ins with your team, setting clear objectives and development goals.

First 12 Months:

Align annual objectives and performance metrics with business needs, ensuring your team is always set up for success.

Collaborate with other managers to deliver key strategies and drive business results.

Lead the way in developing a high-performance culture in your team, underpinned by our Leadership Behaviours.

18 Months:

Implement metrics to measure success and continue driving improvement across all areas.

Lead continuous coaching and professional development for your team, helping them reach new heights.

Identify and champion new growth opportunities that add value to both the business and our customers.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management, or business.

Has 3+ years of experience in resource management within a technical services or project-based environment.

Has proven experience managing remote, multi-skilled teams.
