Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering company, based in Ulverston. Due to continued growth, they are on the hunt for a skilled CNC Turner to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and operating a variety of CNC Star Sliding Head Lathes, usiong Fanuc controls.
- Workingto tight tolerances.
- Producing high precision sub contract components in batches from 10to 100,000 off.
- Producing parts from various general engineering materials and exotic materials.
- Operating and setting parts in various sizes of material from 2mm - 42mm.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience setting and operating fixedor sliding headCNC lathes (The ability to program is advantageous but not essential).
- Previous experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Right First-Time approach with a high level of attention to detail.
- Understanding and use of precision engineering measuring equipment.
- Must be self-motivated, dedicated and able to work under own initiative.
- Understanding of tooling and machining methods.
Training will be provided for candidates who are looking for progression.
Working Hours:Monday to Thursday (7am until 3:30pm) and Friday (7am until 1pm)
Overtime: Overtime is on offer for evenings and weekends at time-and-a-half, and at double-time on Sundays.
