The 1:1 Teaching Assistant provides tailored support to an individual student with specific learning needs. Working closely with the class teacher and other staff, the assistant ensures the student can fully access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their potential in a safe and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Student Support: Provide 1:1 assistance to the designated student in lessons, adapting materials and activities to meet their needs. Support the student with specific learning difficulties, disabilities, or additional needs, such as speech and language delays, autism, ADHD, or physical disabilities. Foster the student's social, emotional, and academic development. Encourage independence and self-confidence wherever possible. Classroom Support: Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver tailored interventions and resources. Assist in the preparation of differentiated materials and activities for the student. Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all learners. Behavior Management: Implement positive behavior strategies and support the student in managing their emotions and interactions. Address any behavioral challenges in line with the schools behavior policy.
