Experienced Teaching Assistant - Long-Term Role in Bargoed

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Bargoed on a long-term basis. This exciting opportunity runs from February to July and offers the chance to make a real difference in a Key Stage 1 (KS1) classroom setting.



About the Role

  • Start Date: February 2024
  • End Date: July 2024
  • Pay Rate: 84 per day
  • Location: Bargoed
  • Hours: Full-time, term-time only

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing in-class support to the teacher during lessons.
  • Supporting small groups with reading and other activities.
  • Assisting with general classroom duties.
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and learning progress.


Requirements

  • Experience: Must have previous experience working within a primary school setting, preferably with KS1 pupils.
  • DBS Check: A valid and current Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • EWC Registration: Must be registered (or eligible to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
