Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for early years education? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Lead to join our team in Bargoed and take the lead in shaping young minds during their most formative years.

About the Role

As Nursery Lead, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for our children to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative and educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
  • Lead, support, and supervise nursery staff, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative team environment.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing feedback with parents and caregivers.
  • Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to build strong relationships and ensure effective communication.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery with professionalism and care.
About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification (essential).
  • Have proven experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Be passionate about early childhood development and education.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and EYFS principles.
