Control Room Operator required on a temp-to-perm contract to start immediately. The hourly rate will be £14.25, and permanent hours will be Monday through Friday, 2pm until 10pm, and every other Saturday.

Duties:

  • Report all safety or environmental issues to Management, and where appropriate, to internal support services staff
  • Regularly update data on internal computer systems
  • Effectively run the MBT process to ensure the plant is optimised for production
  • Work to agree RDF production via the control room ensuring checks are in place
  • Ensure that daily checks are completed
  • Complete and sign off level 1 maintenance tasks
  • Liaise with maintenance team to maintain plant uptime
  • Carry out regular walkover inspections of the facility and equipment

Experience required:

  • Experience working on a production line is preferred
  • Any experience in the waste, recycling industry is beneficial
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate at all levels
  • Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
