Duties for the role will be;

To chair Child Protection Conferences and other safeguarding meetings , To quality assure the progress of the Child Protection plan and the quality of safeguarding practice with children and families. To review the progress and impact of the CP plan for a child at key points between conferences To undertake reviews of children looked after where needed To undertake practice evaluations/audits of practice to identify learning and practice improvementTo challenge and raise alerts on behalf of children to ensure positive outcomes for children. Specific Accountabilities of the Role* Providing concise, outcome focussed Child Protection Plans for children where the threshold of Significant Harm is met. * Ensure the meeting is accurately and concisely recorded. * Provide early quality assurance consultations to the social work team for each family that are presented to conference to develop practice and to set out expectations for the meeting to achieve the best plan for the children. * Actively encourage and support children's participation in their conferences and other meetings . * To work in a relational and respectful way with families and other professionals that builds upon the strengths of families and reflects the CARES Practice Framework . * Provide oversight and accountability to those children most at risk. * To collaborate to deliver safety plans to children at risk of extra-familiar harm.
