We are seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and nurturing specialist school in Barking & Dagenham, supporting students aged 5-16 with SEMH and additional needs.
The Role:- Provide tailored support to students in small groups and one-to-one settings.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours positively.
- Assist with classroom activities, social development, and daily routines.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- A calm, patient, and understanding approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and student well-being.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in education, psychology, youth work, or social care (desirable).
