We are seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and nurturing specialist school in Barking & Dagenham, supporting students aged 5-16 with SEMH and additional needs.

The Role:
  • Provide tailored support to students in small groups and one-to-one settings.
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours positively.
  • Assist with classroom activities, social development, and daily routines.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
  • A calm, patient, and understanding approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and student well-being.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education, psychology, youth work, or social care (desirable).
