Role: PMLD/ASD Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full Time

Rate: £95 - £110 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Location: Barking and Dagenham, East London

We are looking for a fantastic PMLD h Assistant in Barking and Dagenham to at one of our leading SEN school in East London work with children you'll have to adapt your learning and make sure that you're able to support children who have difficulties with their learning. The PMLD Teaching Assistant role will require you to help students with their vocational studies and their progression to further education.

As a PMLD Teaching Assistant you will be interacting with students with a wide range of learning difficulties. Students are supported by a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists.

PMLD Teaching Assistant | Ideal Candidate

  • A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
  • Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student.
  • To be patient when working with the children.
  • The mindset to strive in a new environment.

  • Supporting students with PMLD mostly on a 1:1 basis.
  • Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid and welfare.

PMLD Teaching Assistant | Standard Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN ideally PMLD.
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) professional reference checks.
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
