They are passionate about empowering young people to overcome barriers and unlock their full potential.The Role:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people who have faced challenges in mainstream education. Working alongside the teaching staff, you will play a key role in delivering lessons and supporting students as they gain both academic qualifications and essential life skills. Key responsibilities include:• Leading small group activities to keep students focused and on track.• Providing tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their individual learning requirements are met.• Assisting with classroom management and addressing behavioural and emotional challenges alongside the teacher.• Delivering SEN interventions for students with education, health, and care plans (EHCP), focusing on areas like language difficulties and other learning barriers.• Offering encouragement and feedback to boost students’ confidence and motivation in both academic and vocational subjects.• Collaborating with teachers on lesson plans, learning objectives, and assessment support.• Monitoring student progress and effectively communicating any concerns to the teaching team.• Helping students develop skills essential for apprenticeships and further education.This role requires a patient and empathetic approach, as you will be working with students who may have had negative experiences with education in the past.
