Generator Service Technician - Power - Barking - Up to £34,000We’re looking for Generator Service Technician’s to join our clients busy service team in Barking. As a Generator Service Technician, you will have an integral role within the service team, assisting in the delivery of the business's on-site activities. You must be able to work independently or as part of a team to meet customer expectations and achieve our company goals.Generator Service Technician - The Rewards

Generator Service Technician - Requirements & Responsibilities

  • To cover all aspects of generator servicing including oil and filter changes and oil, fuel, and coolant sampling.
  • To conduct load bank testing on customer-owned generator units
  • To accurately fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues
  • To work on a broad range of generator/engine brands including (but not limited to) Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, and Dorman
  • To be able to work independently on engines from 2kVA to 2.5mVA
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in the generator industry or similar
  • Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues
  • Flexible and self-motivated, you will be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home
  • Great communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
  • Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
