Generator Service Technician - Requirements & Responsibilities
- To cover all aspects of generator servicing including oil and filter changes and oil, fuel, and coolant sampling.
- To conduct load bank testing on customer-owned generator units
- To accurately fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues
- To work on a broad range of generator/engine brands including (but not limited to) Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, and Dorman
- To be able to work independently on engines from 2kVA to 2.5mVA
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in the generator industry or similar
- Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues
- Flexible and self-motivated, you will be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home
- Great communication skills - both verbal and written
- Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
- Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
