BD Reside is seeking an experienced and motivated Asset and Programme Manager to help manage our housing portfolio and deliver high-quality homes and services to tenants. If you're passionate about strategic asset management and making data-driven investment decisions, we want to hear from you!

Who We Are

BD Reside manages a growing portfolio of homes in Barking and Dagenham, delivering safe, affordable housing to local residents. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are looking for an Asset and Programme Manager to oversee the performance of our property assets and ensure the highest standards of maintenance, compliance, and investment.

The Role

As Asset and Programme Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date and robust understanding of our property portfolio. You will manage planned maintenance, compliance, and servicing, ensuring that all assets meet legislative requirements. By analysing asset performance, you will help develop long-term investment programmes that maximise the return on investment while ensuring safe and effective service delivery.

Your ability to work with data will be key as you help drive innovation, optimise IT solutions, and ensure efficient budget management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock knowledge: Maintain detailed knowledge of our property portfolio, ensuring the condition of all assets is understood and managed.
  • Planned maintenance: Oversee planning and delivery of maintenance, compliance, and servicing to ensure all properties meet legal standards.
  • Data-driven decisions: Use data modelling and asset management systems to inform investment programmes and deliver proactive property investment solutions.
  • Innovation: Identify best practices, innovation, and benchmarking opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of our property management.
  • Customer focus: Foster a customer-centric environment, ensuring resident engagement and effective complaint management.
  • Budget management: Work closely with the finance team to monitor and manage budgets, ensuring all investment is cost-effective and within the service's financial envelope.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Strong knowledge of strategic asset management in a housing context.
  • Expertise in property investment and whole asset planning linked to business planning.
  • Significant experience managing asset management databases and analysing stock condition data.
  • Experience developing complex investment programmes and using data to drive decisions.
  • Strong budget planning and financial management skills.
  • Ability to provide creative solutions in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Relevant professional qualification in Building Services, Building Surveying, or similar, or equivalent experience.

Desirable: Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH, RICS, CIOB).
