We are working with an accountancy practice based in Barking, serving small businesses and sole traders across the country. We are looking for a personable, sales-savvy accountant to join the growing East London office.

If you have 2+ years experience working in a practice, understand the ins and outs of compliance, and enjoy speaking to clients - this one's for you!

The Role:

You will be the first point-of-contact for all customers reaching out to the business so you must be confident speaking on the phone.

• The firm receives a high volume of new customers enquiring every day. The individual will provide basic tax compliance advice, send quote emails, and follow up in due course. You would be responsible for independently managing the flow of sales activity.

• Continue to provide Account Management to all clients that sign up with you. This means acting as the point of first contact, and providing customer service as needed.

• All bookkeeping, filing, and other client deliverables will be completed by colleagues, who will further lighten your load by communicating directly with clients digitally wherever possible.

This role does not require any bookkeeping, filing VAT returns, spending all day chasing bank statements, or hours in Excel spreadsheets. This role is all about liasing with the clients we service, being responsive, and delivering your expertise.

Role Requirements:

•Have 2+ years experience working in a small to medium sized accountancy practice

• Able to provide basic tax planning advice to directors and sole traders

• A clear, reassuring, and helpful communication style

• Comfortable and confident with sales work

• In a nutshell - someone who is a whiz with small business tax compliance and great with people
