Community Adult Consultant Psychiatrist MHWTSalary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annumLocation: BarkingHours: Full time - 10 sessions per weekOn Call: Frequency 1:50; Category A - 3% on call supplementContract: PermanentJob OverviewThe North Mental Health & Wellness Team is currently recruiting for an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position, based at Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX.The successful candidate will work alongside 1.8wte Consultants, a full-time Specialty Doctor, 1wte Core Trainee, a 0.4wte GPvTS trainee, and 1wte Foundation Year Trainee within the North Mental Health & Wellness Team. The role involves providing care to adult residents of the Electoral Wards of Chadwell Heath, Whalebone, Becontree, Valence, Parsloes, and Heath.The appointed individual will be expected to:
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver care for adults with mental health needs across Northern Barking and Dagenham.
  • Provide senior medical leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Engage directly with adults and their families while coordinating with external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals as necessary.
Qualifications needed:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
