Horizon Teachers is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on an ad hoc basis at secondary schools across Barking and Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to work in education with the flexibility to choose when and where they work.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and managing classes when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring that students stay on task and complete their assignments. You will be required to follow the teacher's lesson plans, maintain classroom discipline, and support the overall learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure students are following lesson plans and remaining on task.
- Maintain good behaviour and a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to the school on student progress and any issues during the lesson.
- Requirements:
- A strong interest in working in education.
- Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
- An Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
