Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm ( Full time, Temp to perm)

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? A specialist school in Barking is seeking an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 SEND Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a creative, resilient, and compassionate teacher who has a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a passion for supporting children with complex learning needs. You will be working in a nurturing and well-resourced environment, where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of KS2 pupils with SEND.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to enhance pupil progress and well-being.
  • Use a range of innovative strategies to support communication, independence, and emotional regulation.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring personalised learning goals are met.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly those with Autism, Speech & Language needs, or Complex Learning Difficulties.
  • A strong commitment to inclusive education and a person-centred approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and use creative teaching methods to engage learners.
